Manchester City near deal for Benfica goalkeeper Ederson - sources

Manchester City are close to completing a deal for Benfica goalkeeper Ederson, sources have told ESPN FC.
The Brazilian played in Benfica's Portuguese Cup final triumph on Sunday and said after the match: "This was probably my last game for Benfica."
Ederson has been watched extensively by City scouts, and Pep Guardiola is ready to make him City's second signing of the summer following a £43 million deal for Monaco's Bernardo Silva on Friday.
A deal for the 23-year-old is complicated with claims of third-party ownership which need to be resolved, with his economic rights shared between Benfica, former club Rio Ave and Gestifute.
However, sources have told ESPN FC that City could potentially have to pay more than the £33m world-record fee for a goalkeeper paid by Juventus for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.

Guardiola made room in his squad for a new keeper last week, with the announcement that Argentine Willy Caballero will be released when his contract expires at the end of June.
Ederson's arrival will put pressure on Chile international Claudio Bravo, who joined the club last summer from Barcelona but endured a difficult first season.
And it also puts England No. 1 Joe Hart's future at the club in doubt after Hart spent the season on loan in Italy with Torino.
City are determined to get their transfer business done quickly, with left-back Benjamin Mendy also expected to follow Silva from Monaco.
And the club are growing increasingly confident of striking a deal for Tottenham defender Kyle Walker.
