Juventus after Douglas Costa, Patrik Schick, Wojciech Szczesny - Allegri

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has said that Bayern Munich's Douglas Costa and Sampdoria's Patrik Schick are both targets, while a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is not yet complete.

Allegri is preparing for his fourth season in charge of Juve, having won Serie A and the Coppa Italia in each of his first three years in Turin, while the club have lost two Champions League finals in that time.

The Juve boss says that improving his current squad will be difficult, although he does have his eye on new additions that he hopes can help them challenge for further silverware next season.

"[Douglas Costa] is one of our objectives, he's a very good player," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. "Schick has not arrived yet, but he does things that are out of the ordinary, while [Sevilla's Steven] N'Zonzi is not a player I have asked for."

Szczesny was due to return to Arsenal this summer from his loan spell with Roma, but Juve have been linked with a move for the Poland international.

Asked about Szczesny, Allegri said: "It's not done. I know that when I get back, Juve will have signed players who improve the squad, but that's not easy because we've reached such a high level now that there are only a few players around who fit the bill. To move on, you need to find players who complete the areas where we are most lacking"

Juve have also been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, but Allegri says he is unlikely to be making the move to Turin.

"He's a great player, but he's a PSG player and I think he's going to stay in Paris," he said.

Allegri also ruled out a move for AC Milan's Mattia De Sciglio.

"We're fine in defence," he said. "Numerically, the squad is done, apart from up front. We will just need to replace those who leave, but the club are very good at this."

Meanwhile, Mario Lemina is set to hold talks with Juventus coach Allegri over his future at the club, the midfielder has told RMC.
