Rodrigo Palacio: Inter Milan are the 'biggest club in the world'

Rodrigo Palacio has paid tribute to the "biggest club in the world" after playing his final game for Inter Milan on Sunday.
Palacio, 35, brought an end to five years with Inter at the weekend, playing the final 30 minutes of their 5-2 win over Udinese at the San Siro.
The forward did not manage to open his account for a season in which he has appeared just 15 times, but the Curva Nord -- Inter's hardcore supporters -- paid tribute to him on his final appearance.
After the final whistle, he returned their compliments in an interview with Mediaset.
"It's a very emotional moment," he said. "I'm very happy -- these have been five really beautiful years and I've given everything for Inter and this shirt. I'd like to thank everybody who's been with me.
"It's a pity that these have been difficult years, but I've played for Inter, the biggest club in the world, so I'm happy. We maybe had different objectives this season, but we've shown in our final games that we have pride wearing this shirt."
Palacio, who is out of contract at the end of June, is one of several players Inter are looking to move on this summer, although he says he plans to continue playing in Serie A next season.
"That is the idea," he said. "I'd like to -- for another year -- but we'll have to see where."
Palacio has scored 74 goals in Serie A for both Inter and former club Genoa, whom he joined from Boca Juniors in 2009 after winning three Argentine titles with them.
He has not yet managed to get his hands on any silverware in Italy, but was part of the Argentina squad which reached the final of the 2014 World Cup.
