Christian Eriksen concentrating on Tottenham amid Barcelona talk - agent
Christian Eriksen is only focused on playing for Tottenham, according to his agent, who has distanced the midfielder from links to Barcelona.
Eriksen's former Ajax coach Frank de Boer said last week that the 25-year-old is ready to leave Tottenham and is good enough to play for the Spanish giants.
The Denmark international has been in brilliant form since the turn of the year, and has 12 goals and 20 assists in 45 appearances for Spurs this season.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino last week urged his players to focus on football until the end of the campaign before thinking about their futures, and Eriksen's agent Martin Schoots says his client is doing just that.
"I prefer not to comment on what the newspapers write about the future. The only thing Christian wants to do is focus on playing his matches," Schoots told Danish newspaper BT.
"We let the rumours be rumoured, even now, when Christian's merits as a player who sets up a goal are better than anyone else, and now he scores also very important goals.
"Christian just wants to be important for the team, it is the only thing that matters to him."
Eriksen is one of 15 players to sign a new long-term contract this season with Tottenham, committing himself to the club in September until 2020.
